The easiest DIY projects to do this weekend
Often people have the best of intentions when it comes to DIY projects around the house. However, many are intimidated by the idea of a project if it requires a lot of work, materials and money. However, it doesn’t always have to be like this. In fact, there are many simple projects that are not only easy to do, but also don’t require a lot of materials. Here are some projects you can get done this weekend too.

Cassandra Campana from Cass Creates A Home shares this amazing idea on how to find a way to pay for expensive wallpaper. She shared, “I used a flat and long piece of scrap wood to draw the vertical lines along the wall. Then I cut two pieces of reclaimed wood at an angle and glued them together to create a stencil for the rest of the pattern.” After drawing the design on the wall with a pencil, she used a thin brush to paint it.

Something that will totally transform a lonely kitchen nook is this adorable DIY coffee station idea. It’s simple: Yea We Built That’s Jes and Madhu Das explained it. Sand some wood and treat it with varnish and then “put the pieces together [and] Make sure the shelf is at a 90 degree angle so your shelf contents don’t slide off.” You can then attach cup hooks under the shelf. You can take a meh mirror and easily turn it into something much more exciting. Thanks to DIY blogger Sarah Macklin of Dream of Home, you can get some inspiration. She said, “I recently transformed a plain wooden mirror into a beautiful rose gold piece using just white paint, masking tape, and a can of rose gold Rust-Oleum spray paint.” She added another upscale touch by using the Painted corners white, covered them with tape, and spray-painted the rest of the frame to make it look much more luxurious than its original frame.

When you’re looking for a new bed, there’s no reason to actually spend hundreds, if not thousands, on a brand new bed frame. You can completely transform your bed simply by reupholstering the headboard. As BohoFrisco’s Amanda Poe shared, “This update was inexpensive and had a huge impact, but it took a few coats to cover up the gray color of the original upholstery.” Try it for yourself!
